Renewable energy sources are a main focus area for Tussa. In 2001, the EU defined all water power to be renewable. All energy Tussa produces comes from the falling power of water. Tussa is also engaged in ocean energy, wind mills and biomass fuel.

Upgrading and rationalizing present power stations, as well as building small hydroelectric power plants close to the consumer, is defined as green energy. Tussa, with its 15 hydroelectric power stations and the potential for new, small developments, is firmly positioned to be a part of the growth within the renewable energy sector.
